The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, are outstanding subjects for low light photography. Shooting them requires a special set of skills and some equipment and clothing you may not already own.
We found a great article on PetaPixel that’s a great beginner guide on how to capture the northern lights and what to expect.
With recent solar storm activity, you don’t have to go freeze your butt off in Alaska to get some amazing images. But capturing the Aurora takes a special skill set, and we wanted those of you who were determined to do so, to have everything at your disposal.
We also want to thank Natasha Wheatley, of Natasha Wheatley Photography for her image presented here. Check out her website for some outstanding portraits, Landscapes and more!
